I have not updated this site for a couple weeks, and the reason for that is because I was rewriting the PHP for this new theme from the ground up. I first got it to the point you see here. Then once the layout was working correctly, I integrated some JavaScript from Here to create the Metro Tiles like windows 8 uses.
I thought it would be fun to program a PHP page that would spit out a bunch of tiles, make them random colors from the pallet I worked up previously and also randomize the way in which they flip, or reveal each post. I also wrote up code that extracted posts from the Loop to populate the featured carousel above. All I have to do is tag a post as “Featured” and it will show up above.
I still have a lot of work to do, such as formatting the way posts appear, and I need to create a custom page for the Portfolio, and maybe even setup up a “light box” for showing images, and videos.
But its getting closer!
